Below are selected sections from my Master's Thesis – ‘Eschaton Transition: The Multiverse and Non-Terrestrial Entities in Popular Media, Science, and Biblical Eschatological Prophecy’ – that I'm considering using in my upcoming book, Eschaton Transition Defined, in addition to new material I have been working on. Eschaton Transition (EsTra) Defined Blog contains portions of what will be in my book, but not all of it, along with support videos by YouTube creators and others, specifically for use on EsTra Defined Blog. I want people to have Free Access to what God has blessed me to share and write. Even though the EsTra Defined book will contain information not included in the blog, the primary message is here. Lastly, I want to thank my brothers and sisters in Christ for the video content included in this and future blogs. Their insight and understanding of scripture add to the message the Holy Spirit has bestowed on me. As 1 Corinthians 13:9 states, “For we know in part, and we prophesy in part [for our knowledge is fragmentary and incomplete].”
1 Corinthians 13:9-12 (AMP):
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part [for our knowledge is fragmentary and incomplete]. 10 But when that which is complete and perfect comes, that which is incomplete and partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. 12 For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments], but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known [by God]. 13And now there remain: faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love.”

Definition of Eschaton Transition: Prophetic biblical end-times or eschaton events that are manifesting but will not be revealed or fulfilled until their appointed time.

Eschaton Transition Defined: Introduction
Over the last several decades, biblical prophecy, popular media,[1] and science, I propose, have been more coextensive than at any other time in modern history. I posit that they are being used to prepare and influence the body of Christ and humanity to fulfill prophecies: End Times or eschatological events foretold in the Judeo-Christian Scriptures. Though not new, the general public’s interest in the multiverse,[2] the preternatural,[3] and spiritual entities[4] has heightened in modernity, partly due to their prominence in popular media’s science fiction, fantasy, and horror genres, as well as in films and television/internet streaming series. Moreover, scientists at world-renowned particle physics laboratories (List of other Particle Accelerators around the world and noted discoveries) are concurrently conducting related experiments, but CERN, in particular, has conducted tests to determine whether the multiverse or extra- or interdimensional portals (i.e., quantum-mechanical black holes [5]) exist. I argue that the Holy Spirit and “the [spirit of the] mystery of lawlessness is working in the world today,”[6] as described in 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8. Using popular media and science as passive harbingers to signal the final signs of the beginning of birth pains[7] that began on June 5, 70, when Titus Vespasianus Augustus[8] (c. AD 39 - c. AD 81) destroyed the Second Temple in Jerusalem as prophesied by Jesus in Matthew 24:1-2.[9] Furthermore, I postulate that contemporary society is gradually being programmed and indoctrinated, as elucidated by the Hungarian University of Pennsylvania sociologist and professor of communications George Gerbner’s (1919-2005) Cultivation Theory for the emergence and acceptance of the “son of perdition,”[10] The Antichrist and his False Prophet[11].
Thesis Statement
Throughout the Bible are accounts of the spiritual realm and its entities. I argue that, from a Judeo-Christian worldview, an art-historical perspective, and a theological-scientific perspective, the current focus in popular media on the multiverse and related entities, along with relevant research by naturalist scientists,[12] may inadvertently support the Bible's claims about the reality of the spiritual realm.
I have read and watched various (peer-reviewed) science publications, popular-culture articles, videos, and documentaries on
historical and contemporary research in particle
physics,[13]
quantum mechanics,[14] and the
multiverse, as well as comparative theological analyses of religion and popular
culture. I will apply my study of biblical prophecy and eschatology to how the
Holy Spirit and the spirit of Mystery of Lawlessness may use science, man-made/artificial
cause-and-effect, natural phenomena, and popular media to fulfill prophetic scripture.

Statement and Significance of the Problem
THIS TREATISE examines
biblical prophecy and eschatological events occurring in modernity
by juxtaposing Scripture,
popular media, and science. The study of eschatological prophecy, popular
media, and science is not uncommon. If you visit any Christian brick-and-mortar
bookstore, most mainstream online bookstores, or social media sites, you will
find a plethora of
publications and articles on prophecy and eschatology that deal with politics, geopolitics,[15]
science, the occult, secret societies, and other heterodox religious and
spiritual beliefs.
Scholarly research on religion and
popular culture has recently become a burgeoning field within
biblical studies, religious studies, and theology. “For the last half-century,
a fascination with the paranormal has overtaken [not only the Western world but
the globe]. Circulating through the internet and many mass-media venues, the
renewed passion for preternatural tales has revitalized the Gothic genre,
spurred countless searches for otherworldly[16] beings,
and set in motion many social and religious movements based upon claims of the
marvelous. And now the groundswell has begun to attract the attention of
scholars as well.”[17]
I posit Eschaton Transition — “Prophetic biblical end-times or eschatological
events that are manifesting but will not be revealed or fulfilled until their
appointed time” — a term I coined in 2020 and was acknowledged and
approved to use as the topic of by my seminary thesis advisors, Dr. Jim Johansen and Dr.
James Flynn at Regent University in 2022, in my Master’s thesis Eschaton Transition: The Multiverse and
Non-Terrestrial Entities in Popular Media, Science, and Biblical Eschatological
Prophecy are distinctive in their focus compared with related Christian
theological literature on these subjects.
It is important not to misinterpret this
treatise as a conspiracy
theory,[18]
such as moral panic or Satanic
Panic 2.0. The zeitgeist of the 1980s Satanic
Panic[19]
era was a modern-day witch hunt by some Christians focused against selected
forms of secular entertainment and the arts they deemed
blasphemous.
They were correct in some instances.
Still, church leaders and Christians at that time failed to recognize that, no
matter how good their intentions were, they alienated many people who might
otherwise have been willing to hear the Gospel and consider the Christian
faith.
Moreover, five essential biblical
factors explain why their efforts could not have widespread success. The first is found in 2 Corinthians 4:1-6
(ESV), dealing with the god of this world:
“1 Therefore, having this
ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart. 2 But we have
renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to
tamper with God’s word, but by the open statement of the truth, we would
commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 And
even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4
In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers,
to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is
the image of God. 5 For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus
Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For
God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to
give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus
Christ.”

The second
is in 2 Thessalonians
2:1-12 (NIV), dealing with the Holy Spirit and the mystery of
lawlessness:
“1 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ
and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not
to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether
by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the
Lord has already come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for
that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is
revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt
himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets
himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God. 5 Don’t you
remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? 6 And
now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper
time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the
One who now holds it back will continue to do so till He is taken out of the
way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus
will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his
coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how
Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and
wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives
those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and
so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so
that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who
have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.”

The third reason is
found in Revelation
20:1-3 (NKJV), which deals with Satan and the reign of Christ for
a thousand years”[20]
on this Earth:
“1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.”

The fourth reason is what Jesus said about His kingdom in John 18:36 (NKJV):
“My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
Knowing the Bible YouTube Channel– “JOHN 18:36 Explained | JOHN 18:36 Meaning According to the Bible [KJV],” 3 min. 9 sec.
The fifth
reason is written in Revelation
21:1-4 (NKJV) and deals with the New Earth and New Heaven:
“1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the
first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2
Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from
God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud
voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He
will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with
them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their
eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no
more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Jonathan McAdam Fisk YouTube Channel – “The Fix: Glimpses of Glory and Paradise (Revelation 21:1-7), "6 min. 47 sec.
It is crucial that Christians acknowledge that
some of the problems and issues they focus on have either been foretold in the
Bible, are self-invented out of fear or lack of knowledge, or are
misinterpretations of Scripture. Or, lastly, is the cause of what Jude wrote in
his epistle in Jude 1:3-4 (AMP):
3 Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I was compelled to write to you [urgently] appealing that you fight strenuously for [the defense of] the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints [the faith that is the sum of Christian belief that was given verbally to believers]. 4 For certain people have crept in unnoticed [just as if they were sneaking in by a side door]. They are ungodly persons whose condemnation was predicted long ago, for they distort the grace of our God into decadence and immoral freedom [viewing it as an opportunity to do whatever they want], and deny and disown our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
They believe they can intentionally influence
or change prophetic events that God has ordained by using politics and
government, changing policies and laws, ostracizing or vilifying people they
deem as other, and, in extreme cases, utilizing violence.
At this time in our world’s history, Christians must use their time earnestly as directed by Jesus Christ to fulfill the Great Commission[21] with “gentleness and respect”[22] as Apostle Peter wrote in his first epistle, before the Antichrist is revealed, use the gifts of the Spirit (i.e., the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, and discerning of spirits[23]); and must remember, “God does not break His covenant (or prophecies), nor alter the word that has gone out of His lips, once He has sworn by His holiness.”[24] This means that no matter what humankind does to delay, hasten, or modify what God has ordained, it will always fail.

Here is the sinner’s prayer if you are moved to give your life to Christ, and please send me an email if you would like me to say a prayer for you –
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins, rose from the dead, and are now sitting at the right hand of God the Father. I turn from my sins and invite You into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord.
NOTE: Finding a church where members genuinely strive to live as Jesus taught (see Matthew 5-7) is becoming increasingly difficult. Over the past decade in the United States, complex challenges such as systemic racism, bigotry, misogyny, sexism, conflict over a person or group’s identity, hypocrisy, and just plain old deep-rooted hatred have made it feel nearly impossible to find a true place of worship and fellowship. This is not hyperbole—this is my experience. Where I have found peace and a home, even though it is not a brick-and-mortar building, is on Rev. Ed Trevors' YouTube channel of the same name, at the Parish of St Margaret of Scotland in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada (https://www.youtube.com/@revedtrevors4961). So, if you, like me, do not or cannot attend a physical church for whatever reason, check out Rev. Ed’s YouTube channel. I do not think you will be disappointed. He posts daily, delivers Church Without Walls sermons, and speaks honestly about what is happening in our world today from a worldview rooted in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Unlike our Lord Jesus Christ, Rev. Ed is not perfect; he is just like the rest of us, a person striving to live as Jesus taught and lived.
